Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using limitationcalc.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

2. Informational Purpose Only

The Site provides general legal information and a calculator tool for estimating statute of limitations deadlines. It does not provide legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship. See our Legal Disclaimer for full details. You agree to independently verify any information before relying on it.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems;
  • scrape, copy, or redistribute the Site's data or content at scale without permission;
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site;
  • misrepresent the Site's output as legal advice from a licensed professional.

4. No Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information it provides is complete, accurate, or current.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall LimitationCalc, its operators, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, or for any damages whatsoever arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including, without limitation, any claim that you missed a legal deadline or suffered any harm as a result of information obtained from the Site. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.

6. Third-Party Links and Advertising

The Site may contain advertising and links to third-party websites (such as official statute pages). We are not responsible for the content, products, or services of any third party. We do not currently operate sponsored attorney referral or affiliate links; if that changes, any such relationship will be clearly disclosed and will never cost you anything.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, text, graphics, and the organization of its content are the property of LimitationCalc and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Statute citations and the underlying law are, of course, public. You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial reference.

8. Calendar Reminders

The "Add to Calendar" feature generates a calendar file (.ics) in your browser that you can import into your own calendar app. The reminders it creates depend entirely on your device and calendar software. We are not responsible if a reminder is missed, delayed, or not displayed; calendar reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee, and you remain solely responsible for tracking your own legal deadlines.

9. Changes to the Site and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Site (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms; continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
